If helping students learn and achieve was simply about curriculum and instruction, the achievement gap would not be as difficult to close as it is. This session will introduce participants to other factors that can influence and inhibit learning, such as inherent bias, student management practices, land use laws and more. In addition, a collaborative process that districts can use to identify specific challenges and develop actions plans will be discussed.
