This session will examine the impact of implicit bias in the classroom as it applies to both employee hiring and student discipline issues. Participants will be introduced to general principles and concepts, and learn how implicit bias may be impacting the delivery of educational services to non-majority populations. School leaders will also learn strategies designed to reduce the potential for investigations into allegations of discrimination by the Office of Civil Rights.
