Promising Practices With Teacher Residencies

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In 2015, regulatory changes pertaining to teacher preparation were adopted. These included a move to a full year of student teaching, starting in the 2018-19 school year. This session will showcase innovative teacher residencies being piloted in several New Jersey districts, which more than meet the new regulatory requirements. Participants will learn more about the design of the residency program, how it benefits aspiring teachers and the districts hosting them, as well as how the residencies are funded.
