The Forgotten Danger for Schools: Cybersecurity

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

School administrators and board members often focus on the physical aspects of security, but forget a key vulnerability: cyberthreats. Cyberthreats can range from holding student data for ransom to a total network shutdown, among many other vulnerabilities. This panel will provide a high-level overview on the threats facing school districts, including considerations before, during, and after an incident. Session participants will learn what questions to ask about district policy and response plans, and how to identify ways to improve.
