This session will cover three timely topics: 1) How to use equipment lease financing to provide a continuous source of funds for equipment purchases; 2) Payments in lieu of taxes (PILOTS) and how school districts might be able to benefit from this financing tool and; 3) How to structure bond repayments in order to minimize the impact on taxpayers. (Many school districts have debt retiring in the next five years. The discussion will include options for phasing in the new debt as the old debt is retired).
