In this session we will review the various types of health insurance "risk bearers" available in the state of New Jersey including insurance carriers, health insurance funds, the School Employee Health Benefits Program, and alternative funding arrangements such as self-insurance. We will focus on the advantages and disadvantages of each as well as the potential for shared services. Selection considerations and legislative and regulatory concerns will also be addressed.
