Educational Services Commissions are public school districts authorized by the State Board of Education to provide needed educational and administrative services to local school districts. ESC's strive to provide cost-effective, long-term as well as short-term options in all areas of education programs that meet the needs of individual districts. Program options include: coordinated transportation services, CST evaluations and support services, transition support services, special education classes--regionalized or within district, alternative school options, NJ Virtual School, Career Centers, paraprofessional services, services to nonpublic schools, services to support the district business office function, home instruction and online instructional services and summer schools and ESY special education programs.
