Stop by the County Chat Room to interact with other school board members from your county and from across the state. Each county will have a "Solutions Table" manned by county officers and NJSBA staff. The tables offer an opportunity to network with other school leaders from your county and to ask questions and discuss education issues. You may drop by the County Chat Room at any time between sessions of the Leadership Training Track and other Monday training, and stay for as long as you want. While you're there, pick up your county ribbon and enjoy some coffee and cookies.

Voting Issues for Boards of Education
Voting issues can be problematic for boards of education. Who can vote? Who can’t? What are the latest rulings of the School Ethics Commission on board member and employee participation? What constitutes a quorum? What kind of vote is required -- a majority of the quorum, a majority of the full board or something else? How are abstentions counted? Join NJSBA's Legal Staff in an entertaining and engaging discussion on these and other issues. The program will include an open-ended question and answer format that will provide the participants with an opportunity to ask questions about the topics presented and any other area of school law.
